Azrey'lle's Dedication

Dedicated to all the cats that I have met, but most of all to Azrey'lle.

Who's Azrey'lle? An female Abyssinian/Tabby cat that shares our house and our lives. I first met her at a cat shelter when she was no more than a feisty little ball of fluff. At the time, I was looking at other cats and kittens in the cages. I heard a noise, and looked around and to see a kitten on a benchtop mounting a savage attack on a bar of soap. I put the soap bar back in the holder above the sink - but fluffball was not about to let her enemy escape this easily. She made a huge leap across the sink onto the soap in the holder. A bar of soap is not a stable landing surface. Both kitty and soap fell into the empty sink, the soap falling on her tiny tail. She voiced her displeasure at this "unprovoked" attack by arching her back and giving out an amazing chorus of yowls and hisses. I picked the kitten up, and we looked at each. A decision had been made ..........
